You can contact or call us if

  • you have problems at home
  • you are in conflict with your parents or other family members
  • you feel threatened by somebody
  • you are beaten or otherwise violated
  • you feel harrassed sexually
  • you have difficulties at school
  • you have troubles or fightings with others
  • you feel you cannot refer to anybody else to discuss what bothers you at the moment
  • you are in any crisis situation you no longer can cope yourself

We are obliged to professional secrecy, i.e. we will not give any information to anybody else without your consent.

We can assist you in two ways:

Counselling: You can come to our centre at any time (with prior notice) to talk to one of our staff members who will try to sort out your problems together with you. No steps will be taken without your information and consent.

Reception at the crisis intervention centre: If you feel affected in a way that you think you can no longer live at home, you can stay with us in order to feel secure in a protected environment. The objective of your stay at the centre is to overcome the actual crisis and find ways for your personal future. This may be in cooperation with your parents, relatives, and other relevant partners (e.g. social worker, teachers, ...).

How long can you stay with us?

Your stay in our centre may last for a short period of some days for up to several weeks (maximum duration of stay 8 weeks).

Our motto is:

as short as possible, as long as necessary.

Some of our principles:

pfeil_white1 -  We work in an athmosphere of confidence and secrecy.

pfeil_white1 -  Your contact may be without formalities, costs and long waiting periods (if you wish so we can also guarantee anonymity on an ambulant base).

pfeil_white1 -  If you are in a state of crisis you may find access to our services day and night all year round.

pfeil_white1 -  We seek unbureaucratic cooperation with our partners such as social workers, medical departments, schools, police, etc.

Our objectives:

Our house is a place offering both children and youth as well as their families relief from the actual crisis situation. Our main target is to achieve a deescalated situation as well as the protection and savety of the concerned children. Your stay at our centre may help you in the decision-making process whether you will return to your family or – if necessary – to opt for another living arrangement outside your family system.

How you can find us at our centre in Klagenfurt:

Our physical address is Heizhausgasse 39. There are two relatively easy ways to reach us. If you take the central train station as your starting point you can either walk along Rudolfsbahngürtel (if facing the station turn left). You take the first turning right, after passing the underground you face the big shopping centre “Südpark”. Turn right again, and after some 50 metres you turn left into Heizhausgasse. After another 150 metres you turn right again and you may find the “crisis intervention centre” on the left side of the road (having some pink and white stripes at the ground floor).

The second option is if you take the other road on the right side of the train station. You cross the railway crossing on your left and proceed along St. Ruprechterstraße. Before the cemetary on your left you branch into Heizhausgasse. Our centre is the last house after about one kilometre.
